Will you cry at our wedding?
Yes! I have insurance for all equipment, as well as liability insurance. I always carry back up equipment as well.
Do you have insurance and backups?
I started my business 20 years ago and have been shooting full-time ever since.
How long have you been a photographer?
You will receive between 600-1000 photos depending on the size of your wedding and which package you choose. all images are delivered via online album and you will receive them within 6-8 weeks of your wedding day.
How and when do we receive our photos?
While this has never happed in my 20 years shooting weddings, it is possible. I assure you that it would only happen in circumstances totally out of my control (act of god, illness, death, etc). In this case, while not legally obligated to do so, I would assit you in hiring a replacement photographer with a similar style who I could trust with your special day and all money paid to me will be refunded.
What happens if you can't make it to our wedding day?
My studio is in Peterborough, ON, and yes I do travel for shoots! I have been all over the world for weddings!
Where are you located and do you travel for destination weddings?
Yes please! I also love being sat with you guests during dinner and eating the same delicious meal they are eating! Feel free to throw me on the seating chart too! I love being able to immerse myself fully into the experience of your day.
Do you require a meal to be included on the wedding day?
For every wedding there is a contract to be signed and a $750 deposit to secure your date. The remainder of your payment is due on the wedding day or before.
What do I need to finalize a booking with you?
I work with 2 Canon Mark 4. My main lenses are a 35mm , 45mm tilt shift, 50 mm. i have a variety of other lenses as well, are are professional Quality!

Where do you photograph couple sessions?
Depends on the location and the vibe, but I can always consult with you ahead of time once we set it all up and help you pick outfits that work best.
What do we wear?
Totally depends on you! Many couples book this a full year ahead of time, but some couples book it just a few months ahead. The main purpose I feel for booking an engagement session is for us to get to know each other and get really used to being in front of the camera! It makes your wedding day so much more calm and stress free!

Where do you photograph Maternity sessions?
I always recommend bringing a white bra and underwear, and a black bra and underwear, a pair of jeans, a white t-shirt, a dress or skirt, a black tank top, a nice colourful scarf, and any other outfit you find flattering that shows off your belly. I usually do nudes as well, so if possible don’t wear your bra on the way to the shoot so that you won’t have lines on your skin from the elastic.
What clothing should I bring?
I usually recommend between 33-37 weeks
When is the best time to get a maternity session done?
Maternity
It's strongly recommended that you bring your baby in when they are between 6-12 days old. In order to attain many of the positions the baby needs to be very sleepy still. Call ahead of time and let me know your due date, then once the baby is born send an email or call and we will book a specific time.
At what age should I bring my newborn in?
I book lots of time for a newborn shoot, I never want new parents to feel rushed in any way. I like to keep a relaxed environment, and let the baby decide how the shoot goes. I leave lots of time for feedings and diaper changes. Typically though its 1-3 hours
How long do newborn sessions take?
This session can take place either at my studio or in your home. It just depends on what kind of look you want. In studio, I have many props, and backdrops. I have lots of natural light. If the shoot takes place in your home, I will incorporate the natural surroundings in the photos. I will also bring a small backdrop kit and a few props.
Where do newborn session take place?
Newborns are always best photographed in the buff, but I also recommend to bring one outfit that you love, a cloth diaper or diaper cover, and a white onesie. Also feel free to bring anything you want in the photo, blankets, stuffed animals etc.
What clothing/items should I bring?

If you can do a weekday at sunrise or sunset then I can often find a spot within a couple weeks of inquiring. If you need a weekend spot, they are limited and usually need a couple months notice.
How far ahead do you book family sessions?
This session can take place wherever you like. I have a great studio space, a huge beautiful farm, and lots of ideas for many different urban or forested outdoor locations. I can also come to your house. Let me know if you have any ideas for locations, I'm very flexible.
Where do family sessions take place?
When deciding what to wear for your session I recommend styling your outfits in a way that suits you best. Try and go with some type of colour scheme, I find it looks best to wear mostly neutrals (grey, black, or white) then choose one or 2 other colours and try to have them appear somewhere in each outfit. Stay away from logos or words on clothing. Try and choose clothes that have some interesting features, knits, corduroy, denim, patterns such as plaid, strips etc.. all photograph very well. I am always more then willing to help style your outfits, just ask!
What should we wear?
I love just letting children and families do their thing, I find it allows me to capture the most natural and real moments. I enjoy shooting with natural light in or out of my studio. We can take breaks when needed for snacks or outfit changes.
How do family photo sessions work?

It can take anywhere from 15 min to 2 hours! It depends on which package we figure out makes the most sense for what you need!
How long is a branding session?
I book these sessions on weekdays only, and they only need 1-2 weeks notice.
how far in advance should I book?
Why yes I do! I customize these according to need so please inquire if you are interested!
Do you offer a subscription package so I can update my social media every few months?
That depends! If you are looking for a quick headshot, those are always done at my bright sunny studio in downtown Peterborough. But if you are looking for a full branding session we will get creative about location! This involves a phone chat first to plan out the session for wardrobe, props, location etc.
Where do branding sessions take place?

You will receive 100-150 high resolution edited images all delivered via online album.
What does a boudoir session include?
Either nothing at all or something very simple. A nice bra and panties, or a sexy slip or robe, even just a white t-shirt with a little shoulder showing. This is all about you and your body and feeling good in your skin.
What do I wear for a boudoir session?
Either in my studio, in the forest at my farm, or in your own home!
Where do these sessions take place?
It is so normal to feel this way! But I promise that once we start shooting it isn't scary at all. It is hilarious and fun. My biggest feedback after sessions is how comfortable people ended up feeling and how much fun they had. So you just have to take the leap and book it and leave the rest up to the process.

What do you charge for these sessions?
I have shot such a huge variety of commercial jobs. Many of them have been food related, but I photograph everything from corporate parties to kids birthday parties, to cookbooks to product photography, to interiors. Never hesitate to reach out with any inquiry big or small!
