This Potrero Hill San Francisco, California wedding was one of the most amazing travel weddings I have ever shot. Kathy and Frank found me through my good friend and wedding photographer Lindsay Lau. (Word of mouth and referals in this business blow my mind sometimes.) They brought us all the way to San Francisco and welcomed Agatha and I with open arms. They were so excited for us to arrive, as we were to be there. They were such a quirky, chill and amazing couple. They felt like old friends right way, and made spending the day with them an absolutely wonderful experience.
We started off the day with the first vietnamese tea ceremony at Kathy’s parents house in San Jose, then headed off to tea ceremony number two, back in San Fransisco at Frank’s parents. Then we all drove to the Potrero house to change into their American wedding clothes for ceremony number three. We wandered around the hilly streets and took photos, then off to Dog Patch wine works for an incredibly vibrant and cheerful reception, that included a crazy dragon dance.
The whole day was grey and rainy, but I have never seen so many smiles and relaxed happy people. By the end of the day my feet hurt from walking, and my face hurt from smiling, and I left San Francisco knowing that I made some new friends for life.
