The Netherlands Wedding

Dionne and Wouter are such an amazing couple. Dionne found me through the powers of Facebook and we met up in Toronto to discuss me coming over to a small town in the Netherlands to shoot their wedding! We booked a winter engagement shoot for them while they were home in Toronto visiting Dionne’s family over christmas, you can see those here.  Then this spring I set out to fly to Amsterdam, rented a car and drove across the Netherlands. The little town of Raalte is where Wouter grew up, and the wedding was held at a local downtown church with the reception at a lovely restaurant in the countryside. These two just exuded love and happiness, not just to each other but to everyone around them. It was not hard to tell how loved they were by friends and family when over 100 people came from all over the world to see them get married and celebrate with them!

I leave weddings like this feeling so blessed to have this job, it allows me to go places and see things, and meet people that I never thought possible! The Netherlands was a beautiful country, so lush and green, filled with approximately 500 kajillion bikes, and the best coffee and pancakes I have ever had!
