Barrys Bay Winter Wedding

Last January Erica & Alex had a beautiful Barrys Bay Winter Wedding. They had originally planned the wedding for July, but then found out some wonderfully amazing news that they were expecting a new little one and decided to have the wedding a little early. I think it was an amazing decision. They found this lovely little resort lakeside right in Barrys Bay, and could not have had a nicer winter day. It was mild and snowy, and just perfect for a wedding. I have known Erica since I was quite young, and it was absolutely heart warming to see her so happy in and love. Not just with her new man, but with the excitement of the baby to come. The love between them and the support and love from their families was palpable. Weddings like this are one of my favourite things about this job. I get to be on the inside and see such personal amazing parts of peoples lives.

On another note, I love winter weddings. I admittedly do not love losing feeling in my fingers and toes, and freezing my butt off. But I do love soft pretty white images and snow covered everything. I will brave the cold for that, it feels more then worth it to me. With all the crazy snow falling today it’s making me wish I was shooting a wedding RIGHT NOW!! So if you’re getting married soon, and need someone to capture it, I will risk losing my fingers and toes for you, and it will be awesome.
