This Eglinton Grand Wedding downtown Toronto was a beauty. Liz & Don are such a wicked couple. I met them last fall at their lake ontario engagement session, and we hit it off right away! This couple has an energy and comfort between them that was very solid and obvious from our first meeting. When they first told me that they had chosen the month of March to get married, I was a little nervous about the weather being unpredictable, but we could not have been luckier. We had crisp and sunny gorgeous day.
They started off getting ready and doing a first look at their hotel, then headed downtown for the ceremony and more photos. This was my very first Nigerian wedding and it was more then awesome. All the woman were dressed up in beautiful traditional dress and headpieces and the men in intricate robes. More then half the guests at the wedding had traveled from all over the world just to be there. I always think that speaks volumes to this couple and how much they are loved when so many people put in such a big effort to come celebrate with them.
The ceremony and speeches were lovely and touching, but my favourite part of the whole day by far was when the dancing got going at the end of the night! They did a traditional money dance, and Liz changed into full Nigerian dress and headpiece, it was fantastic!
Liz and Don… you guys are great, and we loved spending the day with you!
